Our solution for enteric methane reduction
Agrisma harnesses advanced food and health biotechnology to create an innovative slow-release encapsulation technology for our synthetic compound feed inhibitors. Our encapsulation technology is highly scalable and allows for the sustained release of active ingredients that can be incorporated into various feed mixes and delivery formats. Our synthetic compounds are based on a:
(i) Nature-inspired solution
An active ingredient (tribromomethane) found in nature, with its potent anti-methanogenic properties, has been proven to significantly reduce methane production in ruminants.
(ii) Synthetic chemical molecule
We are investigating a structural compound that effectively lowers methane emissions from livestock.
Our ultimate objective is the development of safe and effective products that are integrated into a producer’s established feed management practices, be it in feedlot or grazing systems.
