Agrisma is a Sydney-based ag-biotech start-up that aims to reduce enteric methane by developing an innovative slow-release encapsulating platform for synthetic compound feed inhibitors. By leveraging biotechnology in the food and health industries, Agrisma is investigating and creating a method of delivering active ingredients to lower enteric methane in various livestock production systems. The company aspires to advance the commercialisation of its products and establish itself as a trusted partner for producers and industry stakeholders, fostering a collective commitment to an environmentally conscious and sustainable future.

Marcus Nixon
Co-founder & CEO
Marcus is a relationship-driven financial markets professional with more than 25 years of hands-on experience with multi-national organisations. Outside of finance, Marcus has always held a passion for agriculture and food production having grown up on a rice, wheat and sheep farm in the Riverina. Since 2007 Marcus and his family have operated a beef cattle farm in North-Eastern Victoria. This experience and passion for agriculture and rural communities prefaced the completion of a Masters of Agribusiness at the University of Melbourne in 2020. The international nature of this study fostered a desire to seek global solutions for sustainable food production.

Alex Soeriyadi
Co-founder & CSO
Alex is an industrial chemist (PhD in industrial chemistry UNSW). Alex’s previous academic achievement includes Australian Museum Eureka Finalist, Humboldt and NHMRC fellowship. He has published more than 40 papers, patents, and conferences in the field of material. Alex is a passionate innovator with a focus in Agriculture. Alex has also led the development of crop protection products in Salim Group Indonesia. Currently, he is an adjunct lecturer at UNSW, co-founder of Agrisma, Joy Harvest, and LLEAF. All companies work closely with UNSW in developing technology for sustainable agriculture.

S. Simon Sukhaseume
Co-founder & COO
Simon has over 25 years of experience in financial services and funds management. He brings senior management and leadership to the business. Formerly, he was a senior portfolio manager and Head of Currency Management for APAX ex-Japan at State Street Global Advisors. Simon was also a representative member of the Australian Foreign Exchange Committee (AFXC).
